Transport to Special Kirra Meeting

It is very important that every KIRRA member who is able to attend, does attend this Special General Meeting, as unless the Society has a full quorum of financial members who are personally present on the day, the resolutions that the Committee is seeking to have passed, cannot be put.

Because of the present Rules of the Society, it is only members personally present who are counted. Under the new Rules, virtual attendances will count as attendances by Members, but that is not the present Rule. The personal attendance requirement is one of the existing old rules that we are seeking to change.

To try and ensure that members on Kawau Island are not disadvantaged by the meeting not taking place on Kawau, the Committee is arranging for a water taxi to be available to both pick members up from Kawau Island, and to bring them to Sandspit for the meeting, and also, to take them back to their Kawau homes again after the meeting.

The cost of that travel each way, will be met by KIRRA.

That pick up and return is for the KIRRA meeting at the Sandspit only.
